How it works
This is how a community comes together.
In partnership with a nonprofit organization, local Democratic Party volunteers are raising money to relieve medical debt for their neighbors. The funds raised will relieve medical debt in communities all across the state.

The broader effort
The relief is the centerpiece. The relationships are the legacy.
Alongside the debt relief itself, the program supports authentic storytelling from community members affected by medical debt and coordinated communications about healthcare affordability, helping us better understand how visible, community-based relief shapes public conversation.
By giving county teams a meaningful, year-round project rooted in direct service, this program will strengthen local relationships, build trust, and deepen their connection to the communities they serve.
